SAL/MD&S HO scale lowside gondola kit SAL-06

The famous Low Side Gondola, these all purpose all steel cars date back to build dates of 1926. Allthough vage information consist I have pictures of this style of low side gondola in revenue service from 1936. As these cars were rubuilt and or modified begining in 1950 the original build dates were changed to the rebuild dates which makes it even more difficult to keep track of. Several after being rebuilt managed to make it well into the 80's in maintenace of way service and I myself have seen this stlye of lowside gondola in Chapel Hill NC working for CSX in MW service on refitted roller bearing trucks in 1994. with this being said this gondola is based after the Seaboard Air Line GB/G10 class and were massive in ownership via the SAL. NS owned 300 of this stlye Low side gondola while SAL owned thousands of these cars. Very little information is know of the roster of ownership by the MD&S and still being investigated to provide. A roster list from information gathered will be included in the next run of these cars
